Quiz Day 2024

A great afternoon was had by around 80 people who attended this year’s Quiz Day on Sunday 8 October.

Held at the Panarcadian Hall, Torrensville, our crowd of volunteers; broadcasters; staff and 5EBI listeners had a fun day, full of laughs. We thank everyone who came along for their support. 

The winning table on the day belonged to Scottish Radio and the wooden spoon went to the Ukrainian Radio group. But regardless, the camaraderie was wonderful between tables!

A big thank you to Ewart Shaw for his exceptional skills as Quiz Master and to all that helped out on the day. Ewart's lighthearted style not only ensured the day was entertaining, but people learnt a thing or two as he imparted some zany trivia.

After a few rounds, snack plates and lunch were served, with guests choosing from a BBQ Chicken or Fish and Chips meal selection.

5EBI raised $2,037.60 from the day drawn from ticket sales; a very successful raffle and bar sales. These funds will help the station along the way to much needed Studio upgrades.
